Vacum problem

When checking and or changing the vacum hoses what should I look for and where would I start looking for a vacum problem?

What type of motor, symptoms, etc. are we talking about? On mine (5.4L) I replaced one that goes to the back of the throttlebody that is notorious for rotting out. You'll need to be more specific.

it's a 97 5.4lt
UPDATE:
I changed the pressure sensor on the fuel line and I also discovered that #3 cop connector and injector were not connected. Runs like new, by the way it has 215,000 mi
