Engine shakes when shifting and cold
I have a 1999 automatic Ford F350 Deisel dually and I am haveing a problem with the engine shaking when shifting from gear to gear for the first five minutes until the engine warms up a little. I don't know if this is normal or not, it shakes so much sometimes that the steering wheel shakes back and forth but if I give it a little more gas to force it into the next gear the rattling goes away until I get up to the next shifting gear. Once the truck warms up a little it does not do it at all, only for the first 5 minutes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Mike

Hard to say without seeing it in person, but could be torque converter. I would take it to a good tranny shop and let them take a look (even if you have to leave it overnight so they can drive it before it warms up). They'll also be able to see if it's throwing any codes. Good luck!
