Finally got some info from VOPC for my order. Scheduled build is 6/6 (this week), said it is Bucked and an ETA of 6/20. What does bucked mean and is 6/20 for delivery a firm date or is that include the entire week? Thnx
Bucked basically means that all the parts are available to build the truck.
There is no such thing as a firm delivery date from Ford. Without even looking at a calendar, I'm sure June 20th is a Monday, which means that Ford expects your truck to arrive at the dealership THE WEEK OF the 20th. Far too many variables to ever allow for an exact delivery date.
As an aside Jeff- have you had issues with your truck transport carrier lately? Our Ford stuff is running a week or so behind, and the Chebbie is so bad they have an expedited process in place for dealers to go pick up their own stuff. Fine if it's dropped off in portland (about 20 miles), not so fine if they're in Kent (up by Tacoma).
As I desire NOT to join Jimmy Hoffa in his current location (wherever that may be...), I will refrain from negatively commenting on anything involving the Teamsters.
Wow, I guess I need to read a bit more carefully or get some glasses. For a minute there, I thought they "BUCKED" up Rooster's order. I'm thinking if I ordered a brand new truck and they "BUCKED" it up, I would have been "BUCKIN" pissed!! I'd have to say "BUCK off" to that dealer and go with one more reliable.
