I think you want to know about an S-10 5-speed, i.e., a T-5. It is not a huge project, several ways to accomplish it, but it isn't a "drop-in" by any means either. Do a websearch on "flathead S-10 T-5" you'll find a wealth of info. Cornhuskers Rod & Custom sells an adapter, so does Offenhauser. It isn't cheap, but everyone I know who's done it loves it. It is a great help if you intend to drive a lot on the highway.

I posted this image of what my neighbor and I are thinking of doing using the bellhousing from a F-2 and up transmission bellhousing to mount a newer transmission to the back of our flatties. We are thinking of using a three speed w/ OD tranny out of an '87 and up F-150 with a six.
