tranny swapp 4.9
ive got a 81 F-100 w/4.9 with a 3 speed on the column. I want a five speed. whats the best tranny to drop in? will i have to change the diff gears?

You could swap in the Mazda (slushbox) M5OD or go with the stronger ZF transmission. If you want a really stout tranny go with the NP435, it's only 4speed, but really strong.
