Well, after doing a little bit of research and alot of question asking, I have found out that the problem that I am having with my switch on the gear selector lever is not giving any codes at all. It's actually going bad. There are no codes generated by the intermittent flashing of the "OFF" light whenever I have disabled the OD on my E4OD. There is a replacement switch available, but I am not sure how to perform this task. Does anyone know how to, or has anyone performed the task of replacing this switch.
F ,
Ive never replaced one before , but Im betting you will have to remove the steering wheel to undo its electrcical connection ? Before you do that , see if that part of the shifter doesnt unscrew ? It may be an easy replacement ...yeah right . Ill have a look in one of my manuals to see if they offer any instruction and post back .

Paul,
I appreciate your willingness to help me figure out how to accomplish this tast. If I were a betting man, I would also bet that the steering wheel will have to be removed. I really hope not, because I don't have the puller. But I probably can round one up. This problem, flashing "OFF" indicator light, is really beginning to bother me. I am not the type of person who likes things to be broken on my truck/vehicle or anything else as a mater of fact. Thanks again in advance for you willingness to help me. This is a great site for information and help on our problems.
