Low fuel chime

Is there any way to disable the low fuel chime in a 2004-250SD?

Hit RESET. Your low fuel chime will come on every ten minutes until you run out of fuel or put more in the tank. But simply hitting reset will make it stop for the time being.

Just keep it full thats what I do. Never have to worry about a chime. Half full I filler up.

is it gas or diesel if its diesel you never want to run out of fuel in it you can ruin the injection system

Thank you all for the input. i know the obvious solution is to keep the tank full, but I was wondering if it could be disabled. Like the seat belt warning sound. Any way, thanks again.

On mine, the warning will shut up after a few minutes of intermittent beeps.

The other thing mine does is that I can connect the seat belt and then immediately take it out again and that will stop it...until I shut the truck off and then restart.

Or...................................... Look in your owner's manual, and it will tell you the proper sequence of key, headlight and seatbelt fiddling.
