Beep/Chime in cab, just started
Yesterday i get into my truck to go to work and after it starts there's a chime or beep (same tone as low fuel light) going off.
it beeps 5 times then pauses and beeps 5 more times. it did this 5 times then stopped. no lights on dash, no codes in my programmer.
did the same thing last night when i left the office to come home. truck seems to run well, no obvious problems. i did wash the engine last weekend, but have driven it plenty since then.
any ideas???

mine chimes like this and it is due to my airbag light being out so the truck assumes that I have no clue that the airbag is not functioning without the so it does the same chime that you just described. could be that

the air bag light was on for about a year. came on after i pressure washed the engine bay and under carriage. now that you mention it, the airbag light is now off and the chiming has started.
any ideas on how to fix it?
the airbag light would flash the code "45" which meant the sensor of the frame rail was loose if i remember correctly.
any help is appreciated.
as for the connections, all appear to be clean and in good shape, i keep things pretty clean under there.

if the bulb in the airbag light burnt out then the chime is the trucks way of warning you that the airbag may still not be functioning... I stopped the chime by just replacing the airbag light bulb. The airbag is still out due to a bad clock spring, but there is no chime now, just the airbag light.
