engine externally balanced?
I have a 330 ft with an np435 trans, i am told the 330 is externally balanced and i am installing a c6 trans from a 75 pickup which had a 360 fe.Is the 360 internally balanced?
what needs to be done to make this swap work correctly?

Old, yeah, your FT is externally balanced. You will need to have a flexplate setup by welding a counter weight to it. You might also need to trim the register that the pilot bearing fits into- is the crank in that engine forged or cast ? Its a do-able thing, but really, why do you want a C6. They are sturdy, but they are also a sponge. By that I mean they soak up horsepower. Why not keep the NP435 ? DF, @ his Dad's house
