Paint Choices
Check the manufacturers lable in the driver's door jam and look for a two letter paint code. Tell me what the code is and I may be able to tell you if it is two stage paint or not. Most metallic paints in the 1995 MY were clear coated--I believe.
Another way to determine if the paint is two stage is to wax it with cleaner wax and then note if there is color transfer to the polishing clothe. If there is color transfer--the paint is single stage. If there is no color transfer--the paint is two stage.

95? If it's factory paint it's a clearcoat system.
And, if you take your paint code ("YY" is my truck's off-white paint code) to any body shop or an auto body supplier, they can match it with any kind of paint you want - laquer, enamel, acrylic enamel, or base/clear two stage paint.
