I use the Denso plugs in my Lightning and like them, but at $10/each for the Denso’s the old 4.2L only gets stock plugs.

They might be the best plugs in the world. But in a stock 4.2 I can't see spending the extra $$. For what?
Heck, I went to using copper plugs at 90 cents each. They work great.

My wife's mitsubishi came stock with those plugs, and it's no different than any other car I've had. Get platinum Motorcraft, or go with the copper core plugs at about $1 each.

I have them installed in my 5.4 Super Crew. They are excellent and should last you for very long.

Do a search here for Denso or combination of Denso, plugs, platinum, etc.
There was a thread not very long ago with a detailed experience of one Ford owner, then others chimed in with theirs. Some intersting info.
You read and decide from their experiences if they are good or not.

im running some denso's (iriduims) in my 99 3.8L SPI mustang, they are hard to keep clean... would work great for something with forced induction.
