Flowmaster Break In???

Flowmaster Break In???

Got's a quick question. Yesterday I got a SI/DO Original 40 Series Flowmaster thrown on my beater and I was wondering if there is some break in time. It is not as loud as I wanted it to be. Right now I am running shorty headers with a high flow cat. Thanks

No packing= no break in.

I will never understand how, but they do have a break in. I have a SI/DO on my '95 and after a couple months it got a bit louder. It seems impossible, but it does happen. It won't be alot louder, but it will be noticable.

It seems that anybody who's had a FM will say they break in and get louder, and the rest of the people who haven't had a FM will say they can't get louder.

I dont understand how, but if you say so, I believe it. I never had mine on long enough. Swapped them for something else after a week or so.

I've had mine on for about 2 months....I dont hear a difference. I like how it sounds, pretty deep.

BTW, mine is the DeltaForce (single-chamber)...don't know if it will make a diff.
