262 six

Anyone have a 262 stock they could send pictures? I am about to finish the engine compartment and need some direction. It has been three years since I took the truck down to the frame. 4 computers later, I have lost some of the photo's I took.

Thanks

Thanks, that answered one of my questions, Generator bracket. I have two styles lying around and I was not sure which was correct. Thanks.

I have a booklet the 1961 Ford service Forum No 7 "Servicing the 262 Ford Truck Engine” that has some general info and some pictures but not much in part numbers. Externally the 262 will have Dual Primary Belts from the Crankshaft to the Water pump & Generator, they also had the Fuel Pump that is mounted on the timing cover in 1964 the fuel pump was mounted like a 223 on the side of block. The 1961 to 1963 262's were rated at 132 H.P. & 224 torque the 1964 Ford Trucks are rated at 152 H.P. & 238 torque (these engines were also used in the 1964 & 1965 Divco trucks and some other industrial uses until 1965). I have been looking for a 262 short block or just the block, a crank, and a set of rods for awhile now so if you have an extra or know of one I could use it.
