Tow Mirrors

I know this has been brought up before, and the consensus it to stick with OEM, but does anyone have any experience or opinions about these mirrors on Ebay?

once you get the OEM towing mirrors, you wont be able to believe how you drove without them. the magnified mirror is wonderful. the paddle mirrors are just horrible. i bought mine new from a dealer in texas without heat for $225.00 just cause i wanted to be sure they were OEM.

I expect you are right. I ended up paying $292 with Shipping and tax. They are supposed to be heated OEM Tow Mirrors. I towed our camp trailer last weekend for the first time. It was a real bear to back up or change lanes with the mirrors I currently have. I bought my truck off the lot and didn't get to spec it. I don't know who put together a truck with the integrated brake controller and the paddle mirrors, but that was stupid.

I installed my tow mirrors last night. No pics, they are stock Ford Tow mirrors and we have all seen those. I just wanted to update the forum and note the upgrade is well worth it for those of us that tow, but I also think these mirrors just look right on the truck. If you are planning on doing this yourself I found this site helpful http://f250.eurekaboy.com/ there is a link to a mirror upgrade page he did (http://www.eurekaboy.com/f250/newmirrors.htm).

Happy Upgrades

Brian

i got mine off ebay...from carpartswholesale. they were the correct plug for my year (99). they were a very quick and painless install and the look great. you would never be able to tell the difference. they are made by kool vue mirrors and they also were great about making sure i was getting the correct plug for my mirrors. good luck...also anyone who has these towing mirrors...are the bottom ones operated by the power mirror button or is it manual on the bottom?
thanks.....
