Sounds like you are making good progress with this .

What i meant was that you basically run an additional crossmember parrallel with the frame rails in the back, basically what those pictures show is where i would run it. But like i said its just an idea.

Here are some pics of my painting progress so far. I have a lil more sanding/fixing of rust on my rear cab corners, then I should be good to go. Once I eat a quick bite to eat I am going to spray the underside of my box, and then etch prime the box/cab/etc.

all the shocks being to long means is that you wont have to change them when you drop a lift in there

Its already got 4" skyjacker springs and a shackle flip, so roughly 7" of lift.....Thats just my guess anyway, I'll know more when I put the box on.

Heck i'd just move the shock bar up so that when the axle is at the top of its up travel the shock has about a half inch left of so, then that way you have all the down travel you need.

Thomsen,

I don't think my truck will be ready yet I've run into a lot of delays lately, mainly spraying roundup on everything.

If I can find a buddy or 2 to hop in the truck with me on the 4th I will definately show up an cheer ya on!

I'm doing what I can to make it there to watch ya romp on your Ford. I went to yahoo maps and its over 200 miles for me to go down there. I also have this girl that wanted me hang out with her for the 4th, with a happy ending , then I mentioned mud drags and she got all excited. So, maybe I'll bring a chick to hook up the straps when the Chevy's get stuck...

What time does this start up? Where is the exact location? I'm gonna make a few phone calls this evening on getting people lined up to pay for gas

The race will start at 1:00 central time. The track is located about 4 miles north of gregory. There will be plenty of signs posted. You can see the track from the highway. It is on private ground.
