Yeah I'd make those for ya if you wanted them. I used 1/2" by 1.5" flat steel to make them. I am running a lateral support in there, I just haven't gotten around to getting it in there yet. I got it cut this evening and its ready to be welded in. I'll probably get around to it tomorrow nite after work. Those shackles are 7" long (2" longer than the stock ones).
1/2" thick? dang that must be really sturdy! Perfect! how much would you want for a set shipped to california zip 91737?
And take lots of pictures when you weld that support in. I might try doing the same soon
Hmm lets see i have a two tie rods, one non-power steering box, closed knuckle steering knuckles, two closed knuckle 44 housings (one extrememly bent though), pm me and tell me what you need, i know of some other places that could hook you up also.
Since it rained out today and I can't work on the farm I'll get my front tied together, tranny/tcase crossmember made and put in place, and hopefully some other misc stuff.
Well, I've been doing alot of searching for a Front 60, I don't even have to mention any names on who has been pressuring me on that one, do I fishy
I got a nice line on one right now. Just waiting on the paycheck and it will probably be mine! I'll see what I can get accomplished today (picture-wise) on my progress.
I haven't had much time to work on it lately with work. Finally had a few days where we could get around to spraying the fields. I took off yesterday afternoon to go to the sprint and outlaw races, so I didn't get home till 3 this morning from that. Now, I'm back to work again
Hopefully this evening I'll get around to turning a few wrenches on the truck again!
Yep, beer gods were good to me again tonite. My buddy is home from NC for a while, so we sat around an checked out my truck and drank beers. This is my buddy that some of you have seen his '86 Ch*evy that was on the cover of Petersen's Apr 2002.
Well, I finally got my tranny/tcase mounted up for good. Had about a 2 week period that I didn't have much free time to wrench. Hopefully in the next few days I should be able to get quite a bit done. Kinda been stockpiling some parts lately.
Here are some new updates:
Here is the front view of the crossmember I built. I made the hoop for the driveshaft go over the top to save on ground clearance.
I got an idea you could do to the frame, i would run a piece of tube (like what you used for the shock mount bar) between that crossemember,. the shock mount and back for the frame.
Just an idea, as you can get at it easyily enough.

Its been a long day and I'm not quite following what your saying.
I started on the bodywork today. That has been a major pain! I cut my front fenders, so I'm sure Fishy and Kubota will be happy to see that when I get it posted up. I'm almost all done with the sanding on the cab, front fenders, hood, etc. Gotta move on to the box now. Hopefully by tomorrow nite it will be all painted and ready to go for next weekend.
I'm having my exhaust put on it mid-next week, ordered some wheels an tires yesterday, driveshafts are being made for $50 a shaft, and some other goodies are in the works also. So, hopefully by this time next week it'll be running!
