voltage guage jumping !

voltage guage jumping !
latley after my truck has been running for a while my voltage guage will climb very high and then start bouncing, never in the red though. Then my air bag light will start flickering in sequence with the guage.
I had my charging system looked at and everything checked out good, does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this?
