Voltage Guage

Alternator new is overcharging and the voltage guage does not work also a new batt. 1993 F150

Sounds like a voltage regulator is bad. I would install an aftermarket voltmeter. Ford factory gauges are known for not being accurate.

Ive not had problem with a factory voltage guage but trying a secondary one isnt a bad idea but you can usually tell if its over charging bu the way the lights and other things act.
