cost for gear swap???
I have a 94 F-150 6 cylinder and i was wondering how much it would cost for parts and labor to change my 2.73 gearing for like 3.55's?? Also, where should I take it?? If anyone has any 3.55's or 3.73's they would be willing to sell, please, please write me. I am desperate.

Are you sure you have 2.73 gearing. Read my post about my experiences(Gear Nightmare) and make sure you know EXACTLY what is in the diffs. I went from 3.08 to 4.10's with TrueTracs front and rear with some added costs for bearings etc. My bill before tax was around 2,500Cdn. The shop that did the work was a Offroad specialty shop that was recommended and quite popular in my area (Vancouver B.C.)

i am going to switch my 3.55 for 4.10's here soon and i am looking at an array of gears on www.ebay.com. seriously, go to that site and in the search put in "3.55" or "gears" and it will pull up all kinds of stuff to bid on. its very reliable and if you don't want to do the credit card thing they will usually accept money orders. just give it a try...i promise it's worth it.
