axles
am wondering if i have to change my axles in b2, am running 3.55 in it with a 5-speed, am upgrading to an a4ld that has axles with 3.73 gears, will my b2 run slower if i keep the 3.55's in it and bog the engine down or should i put the 3.73 axles in?

Your current axles are more than likely 3.45:1, not 3.55 (unless you swapped in Ranger axles / gears -- http://therangerstation.com/tech_library/Axles.html). Automatics generally come with 3.73 or 4.10 gears in the axles to the best of my knowledge, and they would probably suit the A4LD better vice the current axle ratio. It may not affect your 3rd or overdrive speed much, but 1st and 2nd may not have the same performance or economy. Depending on what your intended use of the vehicle is, you could just opt for putting the 3.73 axles under there with the 5-speed for a little more power to the wheels if you intend to use it more for off-roading. If your sole purpose is to get rid of the manual transmission, then I would opt for doing the axle / gear swap as well. Personally, I wouldn't put an A4LD in, just because unless it has been rebuilt right with the newer beefier parts, it's just going to be more problem than it's worth, IMO.
