heater motor test
I'm cleaning up and plan to re-use an after market heater, ( about a '32 Firestone double door w/ defrost). Can't tell if it's 6V, all though it probably is. It turns freely and isn't sticky or scatchy sounding. How can I test the motor without "killing it" if it's still good??? Thanks~JH

Motors are more not harmed by the wrong voltage as easy as some electrical parts and using a 6 volt sorce to test with would not harm it even if it was a 12 volt motor. Since Fords as well as most other early cars and trucks had 6 Volt systems until the mid 1950's it would likely have to to be a 6 volt.
