Just wondering what you people thought of the MSD
6A Box. I could use the muli-spark firing to help burn the fuel completely, but some people say that the multi-sparks are not as strong as a single spark from a high output coil. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've got the MSD 6A and it works great. The strength of your spark, however, depends largely on the voltage output of your coil. If you want a stronger spark get one of the 50,000 volt coils. Then take a look at your distributor and compare that to a quality distributor like Holley or MSD and replace that as well. The multi-spark MSD box seems to give a nice strong spark each time, and you need to know that a multi-spark will only give you multiple sparks at low rpms. But...it should give you more sparks per cylinder at the upper rpms. In other words, a stock system will not fire everytime on each compression stroke of each cylinder and the MSD should fire on more of the compression strokes than the stock system. But, that's also where getting a good distributor with closer tolerances to keep up with the quick spark capability of a capacitive discharge ignition should add to the power in the upper rpm ranges.
Thanks Slik for the info. I'm running a Mallory
unilite Distributor with an MSD Blaster 2 coil at the present time and think that adding the MSD 6A
box would complete the system and hopefully burn a little cleaner and run a little smoother. Once again, thanks for the help.
