Nukes Or Conventional?

I can't see nuclear attack being much good either, as they (taliban) are so spread out, that it may be the waste of a perfectly good bomb. Why would you use a nuke, and kill hundreds of civ's and a handfull of the taliban?
I agree with feat, we should sneak in there and get them from within.
And, quantity beats quality. They have 100,000 troops? Send in 500,000!!!! Got to like those odds.

Nukes Or Conventional?

The problem with using nukes is that the fallout doesn't stay put. Depending on the prevailing winds, the contamination goes everywhere. Remember when Chernobyl blew up? It crapped up half of northern Europe. These bums can be handled with conventional weapons. Now if they happen to use one on us or our allies, that's another story.

Nukes Or Conventional?

The fallout will be minimal with low yield weapons. And I'd rather see a couple of nukes dropped than numerous flights (by our pilots) and thousands of tons of conventional bombs dropped.

Nukes Or Conventional?

Couple more points.
If we send in our boys, how do they deal with the 100's of 1000's of land mines left over from the Russian conflict? Also, it is common knowledge that this terrain favors the afghanis. Our guys arent familiar at all with the ins and outs of that terrain.
Even bunker bombs cant penetrate these caves and tunnels. Low powered tactical nukes will gaurantee that if this vermin comes out they will die. Conventionals will not. With conventionals, once the blast dies down, its over. There are no civilian populations in the mountains. Only bad guys. SO.... Nuke these pieces of doot!
On the captured ******. Why the reports that "they are not cooperating with the investigation?" I dont know about yall, but the report I would like to hear is "They are responding well to the interrogation!"

God Speed and God Bless our troops and people.
