I'm angry this eve.

I don't care for "labels", find myself in the ""Middle" (Majority?) on many, if not most (dare I say it - p-o-l-i-t-i-c-a-l) issues anyway, so I'm gonna' air it out a bit tonight.

First - God bless EVERY person who has ever taken THE induction oath of the United States Armed SERVICES. To our neighbors to the north and the "Brits' across the pond (and the "Aussies" and the rest) this is no slight to you - it's just that as little as I KNOW (and seemingly, the LESS I understand) about my own country, I know even less about your's - so I can only speak, as a tax-paying, voting, U.S. citizen, who did in fact volunteer for military service, at a time (`82), I believe, when it was not particularly popular to do so.

As much as "The Beast" in me wants to nuke every last rotten "EXTREMIST" on this planet, and I am NOT only speaking of extreme, Islamic fundamentalists, and I realize I may lose a few of you here, but White "supremists" - GONE - Black "panthers" - GONE - bleeding-heart liberals - OUT'DA HERE - Christian -right(?), moral(??) majority(???!) - TOAST - and now, this issue putting me to an extreme of another sort - I suppose I have to, PUNCH MY OWN TICKET . . . I digress.

With brevity in mind, please allow me to quickly wrap this up, as best I am able tonight: 1. The only true veterans of actual combat, who claim to have "enjoyed" war, are either liars, or not in their "right" minds - having "witnessed" the death of a "brother", a "friendly" or even another young, innocent (?), "enemy", human being, would be grounds, perfectly more than sufficient grounds, for one to NOT be in one's "right" mind.

Truth be known, we NEED our young soldiers, our young people, more for DEFENSE than offens-ives (AGAIN, part of me wants personally to turn the key's ("push the button") on one Mr. S. Hussien - Baghdad, Iraq - and we have EVERY right to continue the hunt for al-queda (al-whateva'!)

But the not so apparent truth is, we need the youngsters of Iraq virtually equally - NO NOT ALL HERE AT ONCE, but I ask you this - where did YOUR grand-parents and Their grand-parents before them (and so on) COME FROM? This/That IS what has made, and what will continue to KEEP (MAINTAIN - there's a word WE are familiar with) this country, which has been, and is CURRENTLY STILL, Strong.

I challenge EACH and EVERY one of you (US) to look for every possibly avenue to CONSERVE Fuel and hence, O-I-L! I have a few idea's of my own which I'll spare you from for now (but I SHALL RETURN!).

What's not to like about lowering stock, and hence increasing competition, amongst the oil company GIANTS?!

Iraq is not a threat to us, Hussien is POTENTIALLY - LET (SUPPORT) the Kurd's, and other Iraq-ies, others in the region, to dust his MAGGOT Butt - Do you want your kids or family or friends or friends kids coming home in body-bags???

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Nov-02 AT 10:25 AM (EST)]I believe you have to evaluate a threat as either economic or military---clearly , Iraq is more of an economic threat to the US because it is a Military threat to kuwait and\or saudia A----We seem to support democracy world wide as long as it doesn't pose a problem for the major corporations(as in OIL in this particular situation),but we are quite willing to embrace the arab Dictatorship(s) and forget about Democracy when necessary......."W" and his buds are going to "present" the Threat posed by saddam to the US as More than it is because they "Have TO"-----"Daddy" failed too take care of business while we were there the first time and soooooo we're going back and Smoke a few thousand more rag heads EXcept this time we're going to have to KILL alot of women and children as it will be "house to house" and while we will win the battle we are are going too LOOSE the War(i.e.--public relations)---------This is exactly what is happening in Isreal(sp) as we speak-----"Tit for Tat" and you get teenage girls with 10 pounds of Silly Putty to blowup as many Jews\Americans\europeans as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's a viscous little cycle that just keeps repeating over and over-------Simple-minded, uneducated , people are very easy too motivate and train as suicide boomers......Saddam definitely needs to have his neck stretched and it should be done in a public forum for all too see.....The real threats too the USA are in China via taiwan and North korea because they Allready have Da Mizzles wiff da nuclear devices.............And what the Hell are we doing about them---you ask???.....Well , we we are kissing alot of chinese BUTT with very open trade policies and we finally quit sending fuel oil to N.Korea because they publically admitted that they had nukes and ARE we going to invade them and their Million man army like we're doing with 'ole saddam-----no way Buddy Bubba , they would really KILL alot of American Troops----so we're going to kick some Iraqi butt instead.........So much for the war on terror----fd
