First thought: "Man, this is gonna be really weird having an old vehicle that's rust-free...." I tend to, shall we say, acquire what are charitably called "project" cars and houses. Restoring a three-story 125+ year old home now.... 
Second thought: "I forgot how much I HATE the T-98."
Third thought: "As long as I'm swapping the transmission anyway..."
My wife's first & second comments: "I love that color of blue. Now, you're not doing ANYTHING to THIS one, right?"
