what do you mean where did we get them model numbers from, A460 heads are full on race heads designed by TFS for big block fords, and the A style heads is manufactured by several different manufactors, the A441 heads is a hemi design head loosely based on the old Boss 9 head with refinements such as 18 head bolts, better intake, and exhaust runners, and raised ports for better flow, they were designed by Alan Root, and distributed through for motorsport.
Now were Ivan got the A989 number from was probably the bottom of a beer bottle.
actually summit does in fact carry A460 trickflow heads since summit owns trickflow, but personally I would and did buy mine from Lem Evans aka BF Evans ford, if you want his number email or PM me, and I will give it to ya.
Holy crap. $2400 for the A460 heads, plus $600 for the intake! That's more than it cost me to put the cotton pickin thing together in the first place! Course, she won't win any go-fast or purty-truck contests...
yeah well go price the A441 heads if you think those are bad, but if you want something in between go with the C460 heads.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm824BCUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_6_4.gif' alt='Hypnotic' border=0></a>
Rob,
Couldn't you afford a nicer piece of carpet to set your heads on?? I mean, come on dude!! Maybe a nice piece of sultan purple to go with the rocker arms.
Just kiddin' dude, those are awesome! Do you have it together yet?
Yes, I did make the A989's up . . . but it sounded cool. Rob's junk isn't together yet but we've got him spending on new credit cards now so it could happen shortly. As soon as he gets it running we're going to have a magic carpet race. I still think my carpet is faster. His **** has too much wind drag.
Well in the last 2 days I have ordered, pushrods, oil pump, water pump, main stud support girdle, starter, misc fittings for my fuel line, throtle linkage braket, coil, and some other stuff I can't remember
dang now I have to hit the lottery to pay for all this stuff.
monster...what are your hp and tq numbers on that, any nitrous?...oh and one more question...has anything you have ever driven scared you????lol...cuz if you havent i think you are on the verge
Yea, what most people think is a big motor I think is a joke, so it takes something really above and beyond to get me salivating. Now I just have to convince Rob to let me take it for a run once he gets her all together
