Need part # help
I've tried the internet with no luck so far.
I need the OEM or aftermarket part # for a EGR solenoid to fit a 1994 2.3L Ranger. I've seen parts listed at some of the major parts retailers, but no picture provided so I can't be sure if it is what I'm looking for.
Can anyone help please??

That's the Electronic Vacuum Regulator (EVR):
Ford DPFE/EGR System Summary
And yes, sometimes it's referred to as the EGR Vacuum Solenoid.
Have you looked over the entire unit itself? Usually you can find a Ford part # on there somewhere...

, but have had no luck in locating it online 
. Part number is FOTE-A1A-9J459 and is stamped into the plastic housing.

Jinx: Try Rockauto.com. They seem to have an extensive supply of Motorcraft and Delco as well as after market parts. MOST of the parts have a picture.
I have personally had great service from Rockauto.

i found this searching for the number you listed. might not help but it looked interesting.
2) the solenoid/control valve that sends a regulated vacuum signal to the EGR valve. The EGRVR valve is mounted on the right-side (rear) of the engine. Part # XXX-9J459-XX. Change the X's to suit your model and build date.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I went to the dealer at lunch today and got the actual part# for my truck. I also found it on-line at Fordparts.com

VACUUM REGULATOR, Ranger 1993 - 1994
The dealer wanted $40.58
Just a return FYI... I saw one on E-bay, with EGR valve included for $20, if you don't mind buying used.
