Exclamation Interior Fuse Identification

Hello all. I am experiencing problems with my interior lights and power window controls on my 98 EB 4x4, they are non responsive. I am pretty sure that this was cause by a short circuit while i was putting on my new drivers door. If possible does anyone know the fuse numbers for the power windows and interior lights\illumination? Thanks alot.

If you look in the owners manual, look up fuses in the index, there are diagrams and listings as to what is what. Fuse panels are located foraward of your left knee when seated in the driver's seat and another is under the hood, driver's side. About a 2" x 6" black box for hi-voltage fuses. There is a plastic clip/snap that can be manipulated to open the box.

I have the same intermittent problem with mine. If you open your fuse apnel in the truck on the bottom of the dash you will see a vertical row of relays on the left hand side. There will be several large square ones and then some smaller ones on top. If you grab the second small relay from the bottom and wiggle it with the door open, you will feel it buzz and then your lights should come on. I have not found a permanent fix for this yet but it happens so often that I can even fix it while driving down the road! Should only take you 30 seconds at most to fix this once you see where it is!

I've seen a few different places to look for owner's manuals in PDF format, but this one seems to have the most complete collection:

http://www.genuineflmservice.com/default.asp?page=E4

I verified that the 98 Expy manuals are there.

This is a good example. For some reason, the Motorcraft site only has the Owner's Guide and the Four Wheeling Owner's Guide Supplement. But the Genuine Ford / Lincoln Mercury Service site has the full complement of glove box manuals for the 98 Expy:

1998 Audio Guide
1998 Customer Assistance Guide
1998 Expedition Owner Guide
1998 Expedition Service Guide
1998 Ford and Mercury Cars and Light Trucks Model Warranty Guide
1998 Four Wheeling Owners Guide Supplement
