Thumbs up Ask...!!!

I went to "Advance Auto" today and inquired about oxygen sensors. I understand two sensors before cat. conv. two aft. on 5.4L

They couldn't tell me what ones are the "oxygen" sensors. before or after. I want to replace one set now one later on . The ones I will get better performance...and gas milage. Are they the Oxygen sensors?

At $47 each I want to be sure I change the right set!

Thx cobrah

the ones that matter are the ones closest to the head where the temp will remain high. The ones after the cats are for monitering the emissions system on the OBD-II vehicles

Also oxygen sensors are one of the most over replaced parts on newer vehicles. Treated right they will in theory last forever, it is normally another failing sensor that causes a rich or lean situation and shortens the o2 sensors life over time and then when the o2 sensors are replaced they recieve all the blame. With that said don't expect any amazing changes in power or economy unless the first part of this paragraph is true.
