I have an '81 F-250 with the 351M. With the price of E-85 25-30 cents under unleaded, why shouldn't a person try running some. I know of other older vehicles running it or at least a blend. I have always burned ethanol exclusively so I'm not concerned about loosening up any "gunk". What problems could I encounter? I also have a 2000 Super-Duty, I'd try it in there too but I'd be afraid of voiding my warranty if something did happen. Give me your thoughts.

Tried it. It doesn't run well on it. I think it would be OK in a fuel injected engine. I was told other people are using it with no problems. One guy with a '95 Chev pick-up using straight E-85 with no problems but is losing some on gas mileage. I plan to experiment with a blend to see how it runs.

Topped off the tank with ethanol this morning. I estimate that the tank now contains about 40% alcohol. Seems to run fine. I don't know if I'll be able to check mileage though. Its afarm truck. Pulls a trailer one day short trips the next.
