Thats what sucks about living where I do, there are no speed shops or 4x4 shops. Everyone here thinks if you alter a vehicle your nuts.
this is true, but isn't always the answer- I ordered mine poly bushings from a local 4x4 shop, got the spring bushings right away- the body bushings where back ordered from daystar for about 3-4 weeks. go figure.
I think poly bushings must be really hard to make or something,

It was the same where I grew up. I love modifying stuff, no matter how little. It sure is funny, my dad thinks it is a waste, but sure loves riding around in my F250 and going places he wouldn't dream of going.
Yeah, my old man thinks modifying a stock perfectly running vehicle is dumb. He is getting really into this project I got going on, now that it is nearing completion. He is really excited about my next project I am planning (an EB). After that he wants to do an old Mustang together, I have a funny feeling that thing is gonna be a sleeper....
My luck with JBG has been pretty good but I did order my headers from them and waited 2 months. Nothing. I called them up and the guy said he'd check on them and call me back. Nothing. Called again and found out they'd been back ordered. .
I had the same thing happen when I ordered my L&L fenderwell exits. JBG wanted me to pay for them and they would just ship em off when they came in. I decided they should call me when they get them. A couple months later I bought a set off ebay.
The day they arrived , I was checking them out and the phone rings......it's JBG my headers are in
It seems the problem with the backorders is at L&L, they wait until they have enough orders before they run off a bunch of headers and send them to the coating place.......At least thats what JBG said.

That's how that works. It's cheaper for them to get a whole bunch of headers done at once than on an order-by-order basis. Go figure...the most expensive headers in the world (figuratively speaking) and they want to save themselves money. Not saying they don't make good headers (I like the 1/2" flanges), but $450+/pair......yeah right.
That's uncanny!!!!!!
I ordered a k kit from Comp Cams on 4/5, and my wife just called to say it came today. That's the worst experience I've ever had with Comp.
