Just goes to show you you can't believe everything you hear. People will throw out all kinds of advice whether they have the right info or not. Can't just say I don't know glad Bob came along or this poor guy would have been chasing a ghost.

That's a universal heavy duty smash-hit bumper/ trailer hitch manufactured by the Perry Company in the '50's for all kinds of pickups...
I think they were based out of Waco Texas.
