I was just at the dealership the other day (when it was closed) and looked in a couple of used lariats. The tan leather looked pretty crappy. How does is the grey/black leather holding up?
Also on another note - there was a white xlt that was covered with rust spots on the left side. It looked like someone spray painted it orange. Seen this talked about on the board but man it looks horrible in person.
It was on the driver's side - it could have been on other areas, but I only glanced at it (it was kinda hard to miss). Also, it looked like a customer/dealer truck as it was in the general parking lot.
I've had both tan leather on my previous pickup and now grey leather on my current one. I like both colors, the tan leather had visible worn spot on the steering wheel, blackish color on that top spot. But it was 7 years old and pretty much worn. I'll find out on my grey leather in couple years. The tan color seems to be prettier as I think all earth colors are.
I have the black leather and still looks great in my 04. i'vs had the light grey before in an explorer. i liked that as well. but i think the black will hide stains and wear better. correct me if i am wrong but i did'nt think their was a grey leather option at least not in 04 models. i just thought the "tan" was way to light for me. especially the carpet the light grey carpet was a beotch too, stained way too easily. as long as i vacuum regularly the black looks great.
