i checked for spark at the wire and for power at the coil
At the coil wire or the plug wire? If you have no spark at the plug, but do have it at the coil the rotor is probably burned through to the distributor shaft.
I am making an assumption that your engine is an EFI engine and not a carbureted one. If so you have an TFI-4 system. Power for the coil comes from the EEC RELAY, so just because you have voltage on the coil doesn't mean it will run. You state you replaced the Module ?? Which one, the one on the distributor
( TFI MODULE ) and the coil. Did you remove the distributor to replace the module ????? If not --are you sure that you got all the connectors on the module seated in the mating connectors in the distributor???? The HALL EFFECT SWITCH (STATOR) in the distributor could be bad , it is the electronic version of points. Also one of the inputs to the TFI MODULE on the distributor comes from the starting system (starter solenoid on the diagram) and appears to supply power to the module when the engine is cranking only ( wire color Red/ Lt Blue), check for power when the engine is cranking. There is another input to the module for when the engine is running and the start input goes away. Aside from that there is not a great deal left. What remains are a lot of wire connectors.

Stractor, if the input to the TFI module is hooked up to the Starter solenoid (the Red/Lt Blue) wire that you mentioned then wouldnt it be getting power for as long as the ignition is on? You mentioned that it was only for the amount of time that the engine was cranking. The reason that I am asking is because I put EFI on my 78 Ford and I hooked that very wire that you are talking about directly up to the Solenoid. I have been having problems with the timing and such, perhaps I hooked that wire up incorrectly? Just curious what exactly you meant
i dont know exactly what your asking but i really dont rember anything about that truck it ended up getting junked a few months back and now i have a bronco with a new set of problems aka engine
