Bib Overalls

Anybody wear bib overalls? I just started wearing them again after many years. I forgot how comfortable they are- no belt cutting into my fat gut. I wore them regularly about 30 years ago, then stopped- I don't remember why. I bought a couple pairs of 'Roundhouse' brand- made in the USA!

Only ones I wear are Carhart? when it is cold out. They are a heck of a fashion statement when you walk up to a party with your bibs, boots, cowboy hat, and a beer.

Other than the beer, sounds just like my two oldest kids.

I wear em al the time as well. Way more comfortable, easier to put on too. Also better in the summer (non carharts, just regular).
Winter I wear the good ol insulated jobbies. Gets a little chilly up here.

Darn right! Overalls are the best when you gotta roll around under your truck. You don't have to worry about your shirt riding up and rocks and dirt going down your plumber's butt. I've had many a relative of mine that wore only overalls their whole lives and were even buried them. It wouldn't seem right to have them buried in a suit since they never wore one a day in their life. I prefer Pointer Brand because (1) they are made in USA, (2) they are made in Tennessee! and (3) they have been run by the same family for four generations and are still in the same location since starting in 1913, and they have never had a layoff or shutdown.

I keep a pair (had them for 3 or 4 years) just to slip on to do dirty work. Hard to beat for comfort, but somehow the legs are always too long (may have to do with my build).

Another vote for Carhart! Have several pair & wear them every day, lot more comfortable than jeans. Kind of a nuisance going thru security at airports though, too much metal!

You guys might have something there. I have not wore bib overalls since preschool. My fiance recently bought 3 for herself and she loves them. She owns a ceramic business and they help her to keep a little cleaner and she is comfortable in them. She use to wear them years before I met her and said she liked wearing them.
She likes all the pockets. Maybe I should get a pair for working in around here on my place. It gets to be a pain trying to get my latge bulk into coevralls. I'm nearly 300 lbs and very wide shoulders, so it is a workout to get into. The overalls would not be such a strugle. HHmmm.

Sounds like a "duplicate" of me! The older I get, the shorter and bigger around I get, go figure!

I have a friend who's wardrobe consists of nothing but Bibs,T shirts and ball caps. I've never seen him wear anything else in all the years I've known him. He looks like he just came off the farm, but he went to college, Tech. school for electronics and is a computer wiz. Can't judge a book by it's cover !

Tuvanhillbilly- Thanks for the Pointer link- they look real nice. I have a pair of 'Liberty', made in Russia of all places, that I got at Tractor Supply, and some 'Roundhouse' railroad stripes. Those Russian ones were like plywood when I got 'em, but they're breaking in good. I might order a pair of Pointers. I like all the pockets, too. I am a toolmaker, and I can carry all sorts of small tools around, without pulling my pants down!
