Thumbs up

Hey I bought a pair this summer. Just some cheap $40.00 pair of denim type. Man all summer I wore them around the farm here. I'm so comfortable in them. Today I split the zipper open. Just the stitching let go,but a friend will restitch them back for me. I think I will pick up another pair to keep in a bag under my truck seat. All to often I'm stopping to fix or pick stuff up or help someone and end up getting my good clothes soiled. They just slip on nicely and no worry about my clothes. I don't think I will go with out again. Thanks to whoever started this thread.

I am gonna plug the company I got my overalls from, because I like them, they fit and seem to wear well and they are MADE IN THE U.S.A.!!!! In Tennessee!!!!

please support our local businessess, or one day we might have to move to india or china for an job

One thing though, is that I usually wear "relaxed fit" size 36 jeans (Wranglers or Calvin Klein) and the size 36 overall was too tight for me. I sent 'em back and got size 38 and they fit great! Cost $42.

overalls work great for changing the oil in the truck. I also used them to cut firewood. I am a city boy and the neighbors and friends call my "Farmer Jer" when I wear them, but they are great!

check 'em out at:

I have never owned a pair, but I have relatives that wore them every day and had the newest pair for Sunday church with a white shirt and tie.

Well then you need to git with the program and git yourself a pair of bib-overalls.

They are pret comfortable.

And they do have alot of pockets to carry stuff around.

I had a pair in college that I bought at a used clothing store (no doubt the original owner was deceased). I haven't owned any since.

My Dad never wore them, as an adult, I always figured Mom didn't like them or that his stint in the Army led to only wearing pants.

Anyway. My grandfather died when my Dad was 15, so I never got to meet him. I recently scanned one of the few photos that exist of the man (then my home PC's motherboard died). While looking through the photos I had, I found that My grandfather, his father and my grandmother's father were all photgraphed in...

you guessed it. 3 different men, 3 different photos and one wardrobe choice.

This thread has spurred me into action. I'm going to get a pair.

I added some links for celebs in bibs...

Bashful Brother Oswald used to play dobro and banjo with Roy Acuff’s band (The Foggy Mountain Boys, as I recall). He was a major influence on Jerry Douglas (Now a member of Union Station – Allison Krause’ band.)

When you buy 'em, they usually recommend going 2" bigger than your normal waist size. I have a pair of Liberty, made in Russia(!), which are still shrinking, after almost a year, and several pairs of Pointer's, which have more normal shrinkage. I get to work in them every day-comfy!

I used to wonder where the dock workers got theirs - they came in all kinds of colors, from white to green to red, and you name it...

I suppose I could always bleach out a set of my liberties and dye them, but I still wonder about where the other ones are from.

Shoot - I'd like to get a set that are woods or tiger stripe grey camo'd!!!

I used to wear them very regular. I got out of farm labor and have not bought any in years. I do miss the comfort though. I think I need a few pair.

I love my bibs. I bought a pair of Carhartt insulated ones, and there's nothing better to plow snow in. I'm not sure how I ever stayed warm w/o em.
