You can use your stock spare to limp where you need to go... just be sure that your spare ends up on one of the front tires.. regardless of where the flat is. If you put it in the rear and had two way off size tires you could fry your rear end i think if it has limited slip or something.
You may also be able to cram that puppy up into the spare tire place with a little bit of modification.
There are also some mounting options in the bed available, or you could always fab up your own to get her just how you want it.
I pray to the car gods that I wont pop it on a trail and hope that I got really good tires! But I have seen Fabtech makes a flat mount and a 35 degree mount for in the bed of your truck, Only thing is you have to do some serious drilling and etc to make them lockable. Not sure about you but I would hate to spend 300+ on tire and 89.99+ on a wheel and have someone steal it.
Try e-mailing JetJock16, I think he was going to put a 38" under there, not sure if he ever did or had success with it. I do think he had a 36" under there for some time though. Search for his name and shoot him an e-mail would be worth a shot.
I know you can fit a 35 in there fine, some mods may be necessary for bigger.
You can fit a 37" under there.. if you have a stock exhaust.. my ATS 4" pipes dont allow me to get a 38" under there... you just need to bend the little tab back or cut it off that the tire sits against......cause of my big exaust i just run a stock spare(my tires are 38"s)... i would put it on the front and go home slow if i had to... ive seen 37 MTR's as a spare on a truck in a stock location with stock exhaust, it just almost touches exhaust... that guy had no heat shielding, but i i was him i would just but heat shielding on the tire right by the pipes....... good luck.....
thats good to know! when i replace my 37's i will hold onto 1 to use as a spare. the cable and stuff that holds it is strong enough and if it wont fall down thats good info to have.
