His part about the HP of the truck is enough to make me grin...350? I4 TD models were around 100-125 from what I hear. Also, check out the demensions on that trailer! By the Beard of Zeus!

I don't think that the Perkins is a bad idea....just so as long as you don't go out bragging about how powerful it is (or isn't). Besides, I have seen more than one or two weird diesel swaps in my day (not that I'm old, I'm only 27). A close friend of the family put a Perkins N.A. 6 cylinder (don't know displacement) in a 75 F250 2WD. That thing is a pulling machine. I've also seen a couple mid-seventies F350 dually 2WDs with 4-53 Detroits and Allisons in them. It's not a bad idea, just wierd.
