you could just replace the down-pipe with a larger one, you could replace the muffler with a straight-through design, you could remove the muffler completely... etc.
I removed my muffler, and actually ended the exhaust at that point. I then used a turndown and let it exit there. It has a beautiful sound and I havn't had a problem with black soot like some folks thought I would.
A lot of what you choose to do will also depend on how loud/quiet you want your truck.

Walker BTM replaces stock muffler. Nice sound and gives close to what you would get from a full 4inch cat back. You can get them shipped from blackclouddiesel.com for $54 or order one from NAPA part number walker 21470
I do have the BTM install up on my site, http://www.bigdaddydiesel.com then go to TECH and its BTM. Thats the only thing I have up there right now. Its all in the works.
