I created a gallery, what an exercise in patients that was. Anyways, I posted a few pics as requested. I didn't have time to take more shots but will do so next time I have the truck jacked up.

Before you ground off the fins did you check your cab mounts to make sure they were not rusted out?

I'd love to tell you that i had the insight to check the mounts first. Truth is it never occured to me. They do seem stucturally OK. I would expect that they have to be collapsed or the floor give way noticably to make a difference? Do the bushings shrink or collapse noticeably? The body lines between the box and the cab line up perfectly. Are there anyways to check if the cab has lowered it's position, can you measure the gap between the frame and the floor? What should it be and where would you measure.
