e40d 4r100 swap?

e40d 4r100 swap?
So i found out my e40d has gone out in my 1994 F250 and im thinkin either just rebuild the e40d or swap to a 4r100 but i dont know what all id need for the swap just yet (just started thinkin about it today ha) any input on the idea would be appreciated thanks all

A 1994 does not have damper diodes in its computer and I do not know if a solenoid pack out of your 1994 E4OD will fit into the 4R100 or not.
The 1994 solenoid pack will have the damper diodes and the right plug for your harness. The 4R100 will not have either.

There is no 4R100 that will fit your truck. Ford changed the model names and many other parts when they switched to the 4Rxxx naming convention. There are numerous internal and electrical differences between the two that I consider them completely different transmissions.
There are good transmission builders that will use 4R100 hard parts to build performance E4ODs. But there is no true 4R100 with the correct bellhousing to fit a small or big block equipped OBS truck.
