timing and points gap

The '65 manual says 6* BTDC, and I think the plug gap is ~0.034 inches, dwell ~40, idle ~600. I don't know about points gap, I can't remember. I set the points gap initially, and the use the dwell meter to fine tune the points, but I can't remember what the initial setting was...
Of course, in another thread timing and tuning was discussed and generally the shop manual numbers are really just a starting point. Lot's of variables may come into play that might make an optimum tuning be different than what is stated in the manual.
