seat wearing

Took my 2004 f150 screw in about the seat wearing they told me it was normal
wear that I would have to call the 800 number in my owners manual I did that
they just took my complaint you would think that with only 11950 miles and a
$40,000 truck it would hold up better it has tan leather seats does anyone
know what I can do now

Go to the used vehicle side of their dealership and take pictures of vehicle seats with the same amount of milage. Then have the adjuster look at the photos. If this is normal wear and tear, all the vehicles should look the same (or at least simular).

I have the exact same problem just starting on my 04 Lariat with tan leather seats. I only have 9000 km (less than 6000 miles). I'm going to bring it up with my dealer on the next visit, but please let me know what you find out. Thanks.

Seat Wear

Hi Everyone ,
I had mine wear out , But on the cloth type , went to the dealer he ordered a new one , its a cover for just the bottom part of the seat ,took the truck for one day , he said the seat has to come out for there are a lot of clip's that hold it on underneath , but got it back looked brand new again , Do see it wearing again tho just from getting in and out . I would persue the dealer on this a little harder .

Ihad the seat cover replaced on my 04 Lariat Scab the leather wore out. They put a new cover on CROOKED and wrinkled. I couldnt believe they let it go that way. So I pulled it into place. I didnt feel like bringing it back and having to deal with the service manager. Ford sent me a questionaire asking about the service and I told them it was a poor replacement job so I will see if they contact me. Also how long is there a warranty on the leather cause I figure it will happen again????

I have a problem with the cloth seat (Captain's chair) on the driver's side. The "side support" part of the seat where it starts to angle up from the flat center portion (you sit on) has become crimped and miss-shaped. The truck is less than one year old. I am now in the habit of pushing down on this part to "fix" it as I sit down, but this really doesn't help. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, did the dealer fix it without too much hassle?

p.s. And before anyone asks, no, I don't have an overly big a**!

I also noticed the problem around 11K. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it. I am at 27K now and I have started to notice it again. This time both seats. The first time I went in I told them another dealer said it needed to be replaced but to wait a little longer. I understand it is up to the service manager.

Ford has had this problem before. I had a 94 that wore out the seat material, and a friend had a 96 they replace under warranty. I will look for wear to get this replaced cuz we all can see you cannot clean the cloth seats without staining them!!

I cleaned my seats yesterday and found a small spot on the drivers bottom cushion that the tan color is gone. Looks like some is on the seat, but it's not. I only have 6500 miles on the truck. Yet, my 04 audi has 22K miles on it, and the tan seats look like new.
