The guys here that import US Superduties (so people can get a 60h or V10 etc.) do so through US dealers.
And they are brand new vehicles.

I understand- the dealer can't knowlingly sell for export, though. doesn't mean it doesn't ever happen- just one heckuva risk.

Hmm... There you go.
They would have to know they are selling for export.
I mean who would buy 10 Lightnings (when they were available), 20 Harley Davidson F150's and around 50 SuperDuties every couple of months?

Poor risk for a dealer. The Bogey man usually jumps up about the first time the imported truck winds up in a local dealership for work- warranty or otherwise. This is the kind of thing that generates unfriendly, threatening letters from the manufacturer, fines, and ultimately could lead to the loss of the franchise.

That being said, SD pickups were coming down by the hundreds from Canada for awhile until Ford and GM got aggressive in stopping the flow.
