Question about wiring for the "dinger"

Hey guys, I have a 97 Ranger and I have installed an E-fan for two years now. It works great, but I have it run through a relay to a switch in my cab. Well sometimes I forget it's on when I exit the truck and it's drained my battery a couple times. To solve this problem, I want wire the relay to the "dinger" (I know, I hate to use such technical jargon) that sounds when your headlights are on when the vehicle is off and you open the door. I know a little about wiring, but I am willing to try anything. If anyone could help me, that would be great!

I also found this scematic (sp?) on how to keep the radio on with the key off until you open the door. What does the little grey dashed line mean? I figured everything else out. Thanks guys, great site!

The dashed gray line represents the original circuit path which has been cut.

My suggestion would be to drive the realys from a supply that is switched by the ignition switch instead of an always ON connection.
