manifold ID
i found this manifold in the junk yard w/matching heads. the manifold casting #'s are: C9ZE 94525 B. in front of where the carb plate sits is a #12, just below that there is "8k9. on the back of the manifold behind the carb plate wher the firing order is there's DIF. what is it off of, and should i go back and get the heads?

Something cast at the Dearborn Iron Factory in 1969. What are you looking for? Have you identified it as a FE manifold? If you look on the front runner behind the t-stat mount, look for an "S" cast on there, those are your "better" stock bets.

I have a few different listings for the C9ZE-B. A 390 PI, a 427 marine and also a 69 390 ram air application from two different books. 8K9 is the date code of 68/Oct/9 and seems the intake had a few different applications like many had. G.

i didn't notice an "S" on it any where but if there is i'll probably see it when i get it back from the machine shop. I'm having it dipped, sandblasted, and magna-flux for cracks.
i was told that all 390's are FE motors.
anyway i know it's an FE manifold i just don't have engine code book to understand what they mean.
