You are adding the keyless entry module to a vehicle that was not originally equiped with it? If so, this is not "plug and play" you'll need a good wiring diagram to find all the wires you need to tap into. If you've never done something like this, I would suggest you take it to an alarm shop (or even the dealer) to get this installed.
I didn't see if you were also putting in a remote start capable system or not. If so you also need a bypass module for the system. Try www.bulldogsecurity.com for a good start on the wiring diagram.
I installed a aftermarket Keyless entry in my Honda and it wasn't all that hard. The Hardest part was mounting the brain somewhere. It was also a little hard to get to the wires to tap into I had to strip them with a knife as I couldn't get wire strippers in the tight space I had to work with under the dash.
The number that you gave, I am assuming that is the Ford factory part number. If so, then just look under the dash, I beleive on the left side and locate the wiring harness for the locks. There should be a junction point where you unplug the harness, then plug both ends into the module. Program the remotes then done.
If you cannot locate or do not have the correct harness there, then go with an aftermarket system. That will be easier.
Do you already have power locks? If you do then you more than likely have the setup you need. Just need the module and remotes. If not then stick with aftermarket and don't forget the actuators.
It was the remote keyless entry - fomoco part. I assumed the harness was all setup for it but I wanted to hear from someone who knew. Yes I do have power locks.
I just installed this on my 02 Supercrew. If you have power door locks and keyless entry, its just plug and play. The connector is located behind the speaker. Your code for the keypad is located underneath the dash on the drivers side, its the white box. You can also reprogram it with your own personal code.
