I would unplug it if I were you. They have a habit of shorting out and burning your engine harness plug. If we don't need them up here, you can do without them down there.
Just an update on my location: I have moved to Worcester,Mass and I am still using the glow plugs, its damn cold up here! I thought that my engine has seen it's last days and even went out and bought a truck. After thinking about some of the posts on the web site and not being able to stand the failure of by baby I realized that I probably mis-diognosised her failure. Indeed after looking through old posts on hard starting and white smoke I found that I was indeed mistaken. I just want to troubleshoot all possible aspects of this problem and upon reading I found that it could also be compounded by fuel line problems, hence the question of how to check the heater.
well i live in florida so i'm going to disconnect mine but which plug is it...there is one that plugs on top of it and one on the side...which one is it?
