Two years ago I bought a used 2002 F-350 SRW 7.3 diesel with 36K miles on it. Shortly there after I took it on vacation with the standard lube that was in it...(tranny & engine). I averaged 17.8 MPG on the trip. When I returned, I changed all of the fluids with Amsoil products....Amsoil ATF, Series 3000 Diesel Oil, and Sythetic diff/gear oil. 25K miles later on the next trip I took, I averaged 19.6 MPG.....same trip, same route, same load. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! Hope this helps.
It will actually "hurt" if you use Amsoil ATF in a Mervon V application.....
2. Use Mercon V, part no. XT-5-QM. Do not use regular Mercon. Ford Motor Co. recommends the use of Mercon V in AODE/ 4R70W TRANSs which experience vibration & shudder under light to moderate acceleration above 35 mph or TRANS fluid brakedown. When changing to Mercon V drain all TRANS fluid including torque converter Cooler & cooler lines.

Yes, so? This TSB doesn't show any proof that Amsoil will ruin your transmission.
I wonder what concerns are?
The friction modifiers are different between Mercon, and Mercon V, so there is NO multi-purpose (Mercon/Mercon V) ATF that can meet both specs.
Be very careful on believing what Amsoil claims!!!!
But, since this is a free country, you are free to use anything you wish!!!
Should I be a dealer? Tell me how using Amsoil will void my warranty, please. Could you show me where Amsoil is lying about API certification? I went to the API site. Can you tell me why Amsoil has only obtained API licenses for those oils listed? BTW, I'm well aware that I'm free to use whatever I like, but that is beside the point. This is a discussion about what kind of oils can be used. Originally it was about tranny oil, but now it appears to have move into all oils. Thanks.

You can use Amsoil and Red line ATF's which are better than Ford specs-and it's that simple! Bob once thought I was a Red Line dealer also, just because I recommend it.

No, I don't think so, Red Line isn't a MLM company like Amsoil, and doesn't brainwash people....
Interesting comment, do you have any data (other than from Red Line or Amsoil) that says they are better than Ford specs????
Do you have any data to disprove that they are better? So Amsoil is an MLM company, so what? They admit it, you must really have gotten screwed by Amsoil or something.
