solid axle
I was told that some rangers came with a solid axle up front. is this true? I got me a job I need to comute to and 8 mpg blue thunder doesnt cut it. I dont really like the IFS setup. Or is there a Bronco II that came with solid axles? If they did what year were they made and what axle was it?

Not up front they didn't. There are a number out there that have been converted, but Ford only built them IFS - either Twin I-Beam or Twin Traction Beam through '97. After that they went to an SLA arrangement.
